A List of 10 Easy Ways to Spark Happiness

Updated: Aug 5, 2019

Everyone has bad days. That being said, I have provided a list of 10 small ways to make your life a tiny bit brighter.

1. Take a walk or bike ride without your phone, music, or any social media.

This will put your mind at ease and allow you to decompress. Use this time to enjoy the

fresh air, nature, and life around you.

2. Play with come PUPPIES!

Visit your local animal shelter and pet some flutters who crave as much, if not more,

attention and love that you crave.

3. Have a spontaneous DANCE PARTY with your friends or by yourself.

Sync your phone to those speakers and blare those throwback tunes as loud as you can.

Dance like no one else can see or hear you and just enjoy yourself!

4. Light a nice scented candle and binge watch whatever TV series you've been dying to

catch up on.

5. Take a hot shower, put on a face mask, do your nails, and pamper yourself. THIS GOES

FOR GUYS TOO! There's no shame in treating yourself to a nice spa night.

6. Run around in the pouring rain with your closest friends!

Every day can't be sunshine and butterflies. Running in the rain brings such an incredible

feeling of freedom and adolescence that we often need in our lives at any age.

7. Eat ice cream for dinner. If you don't like ice cream, indulge in whatever unhealthy treat

that puts a smile on your face.

8. Clean your room. This one not seem appealing to everyone, but the end result is almost

as rewarding as those satisfying videos you see on Instagram and Facebook. At the end

of it all you feel so accomplished with an organized and breathable space to relax.

9. Dive into a book that you've wanted to read. We often say we don't have time to do things

like this, but its our responsibility as caretakers of our own minds and bodies to relax and

enjoy things we desire.

10. Color. You don't even need one of those adult coloring books that are all the rage these

days. Just get a piece of computer paper and draw whatever comes to mind. No one is

judging you.
